There are many reasons to adopt a rescue animal. With restrictions brought on by COVID 19, more people are finding themselves quarantined at home with lots of time on their hands. This has resulted in more households adopting pets from local shelters and rescue groups. Pets are a great distraction from the craziness of the outside world and they bring so much joy to your life... Not to mention the added health benefits like lower blood pressure and stress levels. So why not adopt a rescue?

Are you afraid to rescue an animal?

Many people are afraid to adopt a rescue due to stigmas about "damaged" animals. I can tell you, from experience, there is no such thing. While some animals have to work through past traumas or medical conditions, you can provide them a loving and peaceful home. All it takes is love, patience, and an understanding of the support they need to become forever spoiled rescues. My goal with this blog is to build your confidence so you KNOW you can adopt any rescue animal you come across.

What will you learn?

I will show you throughout my blog there are three main categories to help you through any situation; Training, Health, and Enrichment.

In my training posts, I will give you tips on common training techniques and how to troubleshoot those areas you "feel stuck in". The health section will cover all things related to health issues. Like feeding a better diet, to how to care for your pet at home while they recover from major surgery. Lastly, the enrichment posts will give you ideas on ways to keep your spoiled rescues busy and their minds engaged. The most common reason pets are abandoned or taken to shelters is because they "are too much to handle". Usually, all they need is for someone to stimulate their minds so they don't become bored and develop destructive behaviors. Rescued animals make the best pets. The more confidence you have in your own abilities, the happier everyone will be. After all, everyone should have a spoiled rescue in their life.

Follow me on my first set of blog entries where I talk about why rescued animals are the best kinds of pets and how to choose the right one for your lifestyle and family.
